Meet Mr. Cooley

I am available to meet with prospective and existing students and parents at the dojang, usually before my first class of the evening. We can talk about your goals or review materials as you need.

Schedule: Meet Mr. Cooley

Enrollment

Tuition is $150 per month per family, so siblings and parents can join in!

Additional costs include uniforms, patches, student manual, equipment, and fees for new students, promotions, and certifications.

A signed agreement is required for each student.

Membership is managed thru an automated paid plan on the same account you signed up for the newsletter. Invoices for individual items are sent via email, with links for easy payment.

Testing & Eligibility

The Tang Soo Do (Gup) Student Manual outlines the eligibility requirements for each rank thru Cho Dan (1st stripe black belt). Good Wolf conducts gup tests 4 times per year, and Region 1 conducts black belt tests at least twice per year.

Gup students train at least twice per week, and practice and study for at least 30 minutes per week. Generally speaking, candidates are required to attend a minimum of 24 training sessions since their last promotion.

Juniors receive paper notebooks and are required to log their practice and study sessions. Mr. Cooley will review notebooks weekly, and stamp each log. Candidates need at least 10 stamped logs since their last promotion.

Dan (and CDB) students should be training at least three times per week, where some of that training is in the form of assisting and teaching. Additionally, Region 1 has event participation requirements for dan candidates, such as black belt training weekends and judging clinics.
